There are thousands of people every year that leave the corporate world and decide to run an internet business online. Shocking but true. This can be a great way to gain personal and financial freedom. But just because there are a lot of people that are successful doing this, it does not mean that it is an easy process.
Running an internet business online takes a lot of hard work and determination. Unless you are one of the lucky ones that really hit it big, you will have to work day and night to make your internet based business a success.
Besides the will to succeed, the most important thing that you will need in order to run an internet business online is a quality computer. Internet job sites kill my job search plans? C'mon! How can something so easy and convenient be a problem for me if I'm dead serious about getting ahead in the job market? After all, everybody finds a job this way, right? WRONG!
OK. You're anxious to get as much exposure as possible. Nothing wrong with that. But posting your resume on some of those popular and attractive job websites is definitely NOT the way to go . . . unless you plan to spend weeks or months looking for a job.
I suppose we're all victims of "do it fast and easy" electronic techniques. It seems logical. The internet job sites provide global exposure for our credentials. All you have to do is wait for one or two of those millions of internet users (many of whom are employers) to discover your electronic resume.
However, mass exposure didn't work in the days before the internet. And it doesn't work now. It's really just a question of statistics. The |
